Advanced Technology

We all hear a lot about "state-of-the-art" technology, but what does it mean to YOU?

Technology makes it possible to minimize discomfort during procedures. It enhances the effectiveness and accuracy of treatment. It brings forth results that would not have been possible just a few years ago. And in some cases, it translates to time savings – fewer and shorter office visits for our patients.

At Dental Health by Herre, our investment in advanced equipment and technology is one more way that we demonstrate our commitment to optimizing your health.

We invite you to take a look at some of the technology we are using.

CEREC

Using sophisticated robotic technology (CAD/CAM), we can fabricate all-ceramic dental restorations in a single treatment appointment. That means you can get a new crown in just one visit to our office. We use strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials to restore your teeth to their natural strength, beauty, and function and it all happens on site at our office. For more information, go to www.cereconline.com.

Invisalign®

Ask us about Invisalign®, the invisible way to straighten your teeth without braces. Using a series of clear, removable aligners, the Invisalign® system can give you a brand new smile over time. For more information, go to www.invisalign.com.

Intra-oral Camera

Now, you can see what we see! Images from your mouth are projected on a computer monitor and magnified so you can see and better understand your diagnosis. If you have a cracked tooth or cavity, we can show you where the problem is and explain your treatment options. We’ll even print the image for you, if you like.

DIAGNOdent

Using a specially designed laser, we can detect tiny cavities with amazing precision on parts of the tooth where cavities are hard to visualize with an x-ray. It makes it easier to detect a cavity in order for a more conservative treatment.

Air Abrasion "no-drill" Dentistry

If you dread the whir of the traditional dental drill (and who doesn’t?), this technology will change your life forever! No anesthetic. No un-nerving noise. No pain. No numbness. No actual contact with your teeth. Using a concentrated stream of air, combined with microscopic particles of powder, we’re able to "blow off" decay from the surface of your tooth. We’ll be done "drilling" before you even realize we’ve started!

ZOOM! One-Visit Whitening

All it takes is an hour to get the brightest, whitest teeth ever. This light-activated system is safe and comfortable and produces stunning results. With ZOOM!, you’re just an hour away from a brand new sparkling smile. For more information, go to www.zoomnow.com.

Digital X-Ray Imaging

Digital imaging in dentistry enables us to make faster and more accurate diagnoses. No need to wait for film to develop – the images of your mouth and teeth are available instantly. Digital images are precise and detailed so we’re able to spot potential problems with unprecedented accuracy. Compared to conventional films, digital x-rays expose the patient to less radiation, providing a safer method of diagnosis for the patient.

Arestin®

If harmful bacteria disrupt the foundation of your teeth, you may be at risk of developing gum disease or periodontal disease. Arestin® is an effective antibiotic treatment that is applied to infected areas to reduce harmful bacteria. For more information, go to www.arestin.com and click on the patient tab.

Soft Tissue Laser

Laser treatment can significantly improve the speed and effectiveness of various dental procedures. Lasers are precise, non-invasive, shorten the healing process and treatment is virtually painless.
