Fillings

Many of our patients remember the days when cavities were filled with unsightly silver. Thanks to advances in dental technology, this is no longer the case. Today, we use durable materials that mimic the natural color and texture of your teeth. No metal, no mercury – and perhaps most importantly, no hazards to your health.

Crowns

If you have a tooth that is badly decayed, broken or cracked, it usually cannot be fixed with a filling. Crowns, as the name implies, fit snugly over the old tooth, replacing the portion that is damaged. Dental Health by Herre is one of a handful of area dental practices that has invested in advanced dental technology that makes getting a crown much faster and more convenient for patients. What used to be a two-appointment process happens during one easy appointment. We use CAD-CAM computer technology to mill a ceramic crown on-site that’s precisely and perfectly contoured. Instead of waiting several days, patients leave our office with their new crown in place. For more information on the technology we use, click on CEREC.

Bridges

When one or more teeth are missing and there are healthy teeth on both sides of the open space, a dental bridge is an excellent solution. A bridge is made up of two crowns for the teeth on either side of the gap and a false tooth (or teeth) in between. Bridges are fabricated from a variety of materials – most commonly ceramic. With proper care, your new bridge will enhance your oral health and give you a more confident smile.

Inlays/Onlays

Dental inlays and onlays are dental restorations use to repair the rear teeth that suffer from mild to moderate tooth decay. They are also used to restore cracked or fractured teeth if the damage is minimal and doesn’t require a crown. Occasionally, they are also used to replace old or damaged fillings. They help to eliminate tooth sensitivity and tooth loss. Inlays and onlays are made from tooth-colored materials, such as composite resin and porcelain, making them blend in well with your natural teeth. We use CEREC technology can be used to fabricate these dental restorations.

It’s all about connectivity. The truth is that problems originating in your mouth can cause a lot of painful conditions that surface in other parts of your body. If you suffer from migraines, nagging back and shoulder pain or other painful problems, we may be able to help. Implants

Dental implants, most often, are the best option for replacing missing teeth. Unlike removable dentures, dental implants are long-term replacements. They are bio-compatible posts made up of titanium metal that fuses with the jaw bone and replaces the roots of your missing tooth/teeth. Once the dental implants have successfully been placed, we will fabricate a customized crown or bridge that will permanently be cemented to the titanium post. Dental implants are durable and do not decay like teeth anchoring fixed bridges. Whether you are missing one, several, or all of your natural teeth, dental implants are designed to look, feel, and function like your own.

Dentures

If you have lost some or all of your natural teeth, dentures can be used to replace them. Depending upon your situation, we will fabricate partial or full dentures that are designed to look and feel like natural teeth. Advanced dental materials make it possible to create dentures that are more comfortable, durable and better fitting than those worn by past generations. Dental Health by Herre also offers implant-supported dentures.
